Progress

This last week we are making some progress with potty training! Everyone told me that with boys it would be easier to train without wearing anything and I am learning that is the case. Hayden has been running around the house playing "streaker". For some reason it helps him to remember that he needs to use the potty when he has nothing on. When he is wearing underwear or pull ups, he forgets and then has an accident. He is doing surprisingly well and has even used the potty for other business too! We are still using diapers at night and the occasional pull-up, but mostly when he's home he runs around sans clothing. It makes for some cute pictures of a little boy in his boots with nothing else on. I don't know what it is that has made him suddenly want to use the potty, but I am glad that it's clicking and so ready to only have one little kiddo in diapers! Keep up the good work Hayden!

The Beauty of Youth

It's starting to hit that I'm not young any more. Craig always says that he's half way through his life. I don't like think in those terms, but the realization the we are not spring chickens is hitting me like a ton of bricks. My evidence?

Me: I wake up with creases on my face and they are still there an hour later.

Reagan: She wakes up with a crease on her face and I can see it disappear right before my eyes.

My Baby Boy is Almost 3!!

We took Hayden for his three year pics the other day when we did Reagan's 3 month pictures. I can't believe that my baby boy is going to be 3 in a little less than a month. It seems like just yesterday he was a little baby in my arms depending on me for everything. Now he tells me what he wants and doesn't want and with so much confidence. I am so proud of the little man he is becoming. He is polite and always smiles. He's quite tall for his age, but still so skinny that I have to cinch up his pants to keep them from falling off. We have made it to this point far faster than I realized and I know he will be graduating before I can blink twice. Or at least it seems that way.

So Proud

I tell my son that I am proud of him daily. I am. He makes me smile and I love watching him grow. I want him to know that not only do I love him, but I am proud to be his mom. It must be rubbing off on him because the other day as I was putting him in his car seat I asked him for a hug. He hugged me and said "I'm so proud of you." I got tears in my eyes and felt more pride than ever before. How did I get so lucky to have such a sweet son?

Minnie and Me

My little Rea was three months yesterday. I can't believe it! She has the sweetest smile ever and just loves to coo and laugh. She is starting to scoot on her belly some and has moved a few inches on the floor when having tummy time, although she's still not a fan of tummy time. She loves her brother so much and smiles when he comes around. Yesterday she rolled from belly to back, but I think it was just an accident. I had propped her up good on her elbows and brother was touching with her head. I'm thinking he helped her out a little. I'm not sure how much she weighs right now, but I'm thinking about trying to take her in just for a weight check this week. She has 3 month pictures Friday! It's so much fun dressing her up and picking out bows and headbands to go with her outfits. I'm gonna go broke!
